Riverbed to Demonstrate Accelerated Application Performance Across Virtualized Environments at VMWorld Europe

San Francisco – February 18, 2008 – Riverbed Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq: RVBD), the technology and market leader in wide-area data services (WDS), announced today that it will participate at VMWorld Europe 2008, taking place on 26-28 February, at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrés, in Cannes, France (stand 48).

At the conference, Riverbed® will showcase how its Steelhead® appliances enable enterprises to efficiently collaborate across VMware environments, while at the same time centralizing and consolidating IT resources – all without sacrificing application performance. Joint Riverbed and VMware customers can more efficiently replicate VMware environments to set up remote and branch offices backed by disaster recovery, all while experiencing performance improvements of up to 55x.

As a Premier Partner in the VMware Technology Alliance Partner (TAP) program, Riverbed is able to assure customers of interoperability between VMware virtualization solutions and Riverbed's Steelhead WDS products.

Marcus Chambers, Riverbed's vice president EMEA, comments, "VMworld is the virtualization event in Europe, where senior executives have the chance to see what tomorrow offers in the virtualisation space. As a Premier Partner in the VMware TAP program, we see this as an opportunity to increase our own understanding of customer requirements, but also a chance to educate the industry on why WDS can enhance virtual environments."

VMworld Europe 2008 will showcase the continual innovation and thinking that is changing the way organizations around the world are building, deploying and managing their IT infrastructures. It will also provide a platform for visitors to interact with the customers, partners and technologists who are shaping the industry.
